Window cleaner without vinegar
Homemade cleaner for your windows that will not leave streak
Ingredients
- - 1.5 cups of distilled water
- - Half cup of rubbing alcohol
Instructions
1. Clean the bottle you will use with soapy water.
2. With a funnel pour the 1.5 cups (12 oz) of water into the bottle
3. With a funnel pour 0.5 cup (4 oz) of rubbing alcohol
4. Shake it gently before each use.
Notes
This cleaner works great but I mostly use it on the outside windows since breathing in the VOC from the rubbing alcohol can be toxic to the system. I prefer to use this outside where it can evaporate fast. If I use it on a mirror I'll make sure to ventilate the room well.
This cleaner works well for those you can't stand the smell of the vinegar.
Use a rag that is not treated with a fabric softener because that can sabotage the cleaning process. Use one rag to clean the window and a second one to polish it and dry up all the leftover mixture.
